Good morning, dog lover.
We hope your coffee is warm, your dog is nearby, and your Sunday is off to a gentle start. This week’s edition is all about paying a little closer attention to what our dogs may be telling us, to the small choices that shape their lives, and to the people finding thoughtful ways to make things a little better for them.

The Heartwarmer They lost Missy. Then they found a new way to help dogs get noticed. After saying goodbye to their Chihuahua, Hongtao Jin and Helen Chen began showing up at a San Antonio shelter with cameras, toys and handmade bandanas. What started as a way to honor Missy has become something much bigger. Because sometimes the difference between being overlooked and being noticed is one photograph.
