The last time we checked in with Jonah, the Miami Marlins had found their famously hot-dog-less fan and promised to bring him back for a day of his own.

On Sunday, July 12, the Marlins are officially making good on that promise.

Back at the ballpark

Jonah will return to loanDepot park as the Marlins take on the Cleveland Guardians at 1:40 p.m. ET.

This time, he will not be watching someone else enjoy the snacks.

The rescue pup is set to participate in the ceremonial first pitch before settling in with his long-awaited treats, new toys, suite access and a deluxe dog house.

Exactly how a dog throws a baseball remains the only unresolved part of the plan.

His big day will help other dogs, too

Jonah’s return is about more than correcting one very public snack injustice.

A portion of every ticket purchased through the official Jonah’s Dream Day offer will support local animal rescues, helping more dogs find families and dream days of their own.

It is a fitting next chapter for a rescue dog whose five seconds of internet fame are now doing something genuinely useful.

Fans can come cheer him on, but their own dogs will need to stay home. The Marlins have clarified that this is not another Bark at the Park event, and Jonah will be the only four-legged guest inside.

This one is entirely his.

Jonah is going from background spectator to guest of honor.

He never barked. He never begged.

He just looked at the hot dog, deeply offended.

And somehow, that was enough.
