Bingo went outside for what looked like a normal day in the yard. He came back with company.

The 2-year-old Golden Retriever from Allen, Oklahoma, went viral after home security footage showed him walking into his family’s house with a live armadillo in his mouth. The video, originally shared by owner Alycia Napier, shows the kind of scene that turns a normal afternoon into instant family chaos.

Bingo looked perfectly calm. The children did not.

A Very Unexpected Houseguest

According to Napier, Bingo had been outside before returning with the armadillo. Once inside, the moment quickly turned into a family-wide commotion as the children ran and shouted for Bingo to drop it.

Eventually, Bingo brought the armadillo back outside. The animal was released unharmed and ran off into a neighbor’s yard.

The video spread quickly because the setup is almost too good: a family security camera, a Golden Retriever acting completely normal, and an armadillo that no one expected to see crossing the threshold.

Why Everyone Is Watching

Part of the appeal is Bingo’s complete confidence. There is no hesitation, no visible concern, and no sign that he understands why everyone else is reacting quite so strongly.

It is not the kind of fetch anyone asked for. But it is, technically, a retrieve.
